A Photographer Who Draws
Welcome to Yayalandstudio!
Hi, I'm Yayu, a Tokyo-based photographer. I was born in Mainland China and have lived in Japan since 2002. My friends like to call me Yaya since it's much easier to pronounce.
Becoming a photographer is not something I planned. I got my first DSLR in 2011, and since then I've been obsessed with documenting life, travels, and people around me. My passion for photography is growing intensely day by day. I truly enjoy experiencing the world with my camera in hand, so here I am!
I specialize in portrait, lifestyle, and travel photography and I offer a wide range of photography services focused on professionalism, creativity, high energy, and originality. I capture the moments, real emotions, and stories that occur during our time together. (Please check out my photography portfolio)
Deeply influenced by my father, a Chinese ink-painting artist, I draw when I have time. For me, photography and drawing have so much in common. While photography captures the moments of life, painting allows me to add something which exists solely in the imagination. Whether the Camera or the pencil is the tool, I see it as just a different way to create my art. You can see some of my artwork on this site.
